Continuing our commitment to the latest in imaging, Radiology SA has introduced digital tomosynthesis of the breast to our Central Districts rooms. This technique goes beyond the conventional mammogram views, to also include fine slice imaging through the breast tissues. This improves visualisation of the tissues and chances of detecting subtle abnormalities. Installation is complete, and breast tomosynthesis is available now.

There is currently a nationwide supply problem impacting availability of the tracer required for nuclear medicine scans. The issue originates in NSW and is unfortunately outside our control. All radiology practices are currently facing the same issue. Some radiotracer is still being sourced, and we are doing our best to prioritise scans according to clinical need.
