Information held within your My Health Record may include reports from any diagnostic imaging investigations you have had. As a patient and consumer, you have control over whether your information is uploaded to My Health Record, and you can manage the information that is in your digital record.

Radiology SA reports uploaded to My Health Record

Radiology SA’s medical records system connects to My Health Record, providing the ability to upload radiology reports directly into a patient’s My Health Record.

If you have an active My Health Record account and you want your radiology report to be stored in your account, the report will be uploaded automatically and no action is needed from you. The uploaded records will be available in your My Health Record account 7 days after the report is finalised.

If you would prefer to not have your radiology report uploaded to My Health Record, you can opt out by notifying our staff at the time of your appointment. There is also an option to indicate your preference to opt out on the consent form that you may be asked to complete.

Providing the radiology report to your referring Practitioner

Regardless of whether your radiology report is uploaded to My Health Record, the results and imaging from your radiology appointment will be provided in the usual way directly to the practitioner who referred you to Radiology SA.

Even if you access the radiology report through your My Health Record account, it is important that you discuss the results with your treating practitioner.
