Originally from Adelaide, Dr David Gai completed his MBBS degree at the University of Melbourne as well as a research year at Oxford, John Radcliffe Hospital. He undertook radiology training across multiple hospital sites in Melbourne and Victoria, principally at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. After obtaining his RANZCR fellowship in 2020, he also completed an MRI fellowship which was untaken at both the Royal Melbourne Hospital and St John of God Ballarat.
