X-rays are very useful tools in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. An x-ray or radiograph is produced by passing a small amount of radiation through the body to produce an image of the inside of the body.
An orthopantomogram (OPG) is a panoramic x-ray of the teeth and jaw. It is used in the assessment of the teeth, jaw bones and associated joints.
Dental CT is a specialised form of imaging of the teeth and jaw using computed tomography (CT or CAT scan).
