Radiology SA has recently won a new tender to continue reporting of radiology for the Cairns Base Hospital and surrounding districts, effectively recognising the value of the previously provided services. Our dedicated on location radiologists, supported by our Adelaide based team, continue to provide high level input into diagnostic imaging and local clinical meetings.

Radiology SA has recently installed state of the art digital mammography at our Vic Park rooms. The upgrade includes the ability to perform tomosynthesis, a technique that allows more detailed fine slice views through the breast tissues.

The upgrade compliments the ongoing relationship between Radiology SA and BreastScreen SA, and is used both for diagnostic mammography and advanced work-up of cases identified through the BreastScreen SA screening program.
