Roll-out of digital mammography

Realising the value-add of digital mammography, Radiology SA has installed new mammography units at our Calvary, Marion and Stirling sites. The new machines can perform tomosynthesis, a radiographic technique to provide increased breast tissue detail, as well as conventional mammography projections, helping improve ability to detect breast pathology.

Cairns and districts radiology contract renewed

Radiology SA has recently won a new tender to continue reporting of radiology for the Cairns Base Hospital and surrounding districts, effectively recognising the value of the previously provided services. Our dedicated on location radiologists, supported by our Adelaide based team, continue to provide high level input into diagnostic imaging and local clinical meetings.

Successful Lyell McEwin hospital tender

Radiology SA has been successful in winning the tender to supply radiologist services to the Lyell McEwin hospital. Our radiologists have markedly improved reporting times at the hospital, and have been involved in reintroducing/expanding patient services at this important northern metropolitan location. This has been achieved without any out of pocket costs to patients.

Digital mammography introduced to Vic Park (Dulwich)

Radiology SA has recently installed state of the art digital mammography at our Vic Park rooms. The upgrade includes the ability to perform tomosynthesis, a technique that allows more detailed fine slice views through the breast tissues.

The upgrade compliments the ongoing relationship between Radiology SA and BreastScreen SA, and is used both for diagnostic mammography and advanced work-up of cases identified through the BreastScreen SA screening program.
